Currently at USF, I work in the iteach Lounge developing and delivering technology integration workshops to preservice teachers. Students can learn many different skills in the lounge including: podcasting, web development, video shooting and editing, web 2.0 tools, office productivity tools and much more. We focus on staying up-to-date with new technology tools that are developing and are useful in the classroom to enhance instruction. I received my Master in Instructional Technology in 2007 from the University of South Florida as well. During that time, I worked at MetLife, developing e-learning modules to be deployed to several lines of business. I became very familiar with industry standard tools for creating interactive learning content. At the University of Tampa, I received my undergrad degree in Electronic Media Art Technology, while playing on the baseball team and running on the track team. I developed skills in video creation and editing, graphic design, and web development. My experiences on both the track and baseball teams taught me about teamwork, and working together for a common goal. I incorporate all of these skills when developing digital content and training for others. I enjoy playing music (guitar and piano), staying active and fit, and keeping up-to-date with the latest trends in technology and education. I enjoy learning new skills and techniques. I believe in lifelong learning and will always keep my mind open to learn something new. |
